Give A Marketable Security To The Museum
Gifts of publicly-traded securities can be a tax-wise method of giving because you:
- may claim a charitable tax deduction based on the gift’s full fair-market-value (average of the high and low trading price on the transfer date) of the security.
- avoid paying capital gains tax on the security if it has appreciated since you acquired it.
If you would like to initiate a securities transfer to the National Museum of World War II Aviation, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
Give Through Your Donor Advised Fund
Individuals 72 and older must take a Required Minimum Distribution from their traditional IRA each year. This RMD can be directed as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to reduce taxable income.
Additionally, those 70 1/2 and older can make a QCD up to $100,000 that will reduce their taxable income. You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
Individuals should contact their IRA custodian to request a direct QCD be made to the Museum of World War II Aviation. Please contact us at email@example.com with any questions or to let us know that you have made the request.

Have Your Gift Matched By Your Employer
Many corporations have matching gift programs. You can easily increase, often double the impact of your donation by checking with your company’s HR department to see if they match tax-deductible donations. It is a little extra work on your end and it pays dividends on our end!
Direct Your United Way Donation To The Museum

You may leave a legacy at the Museum by naming us in your will or trust. You may designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate or a specific asset.
Giving through your will or trust enables you to specify the purpose of your gift and potentially reduce your estate taxes by generating a charitable estate tax deduction.
If you have made such a provision, please advise us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
