The National Museum of World War II Aviation will be closed from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, March 25th for a private event. The museum will be open to the public from 12pm to 5pm

MOTHERS GET IN FREE ON MOTHERS DAY!—SUNDAY, MAY 14TH

To honor mothers everywhere, The National Museum of World War II Aviation is giving free admission to the museum and the guided tour on Mothers Day. This offer cannot be purchased on the website in advance. Just let the front desk know when you arrive at the museum and you will be admitted free of charge. All others in the your party may purchase tickets online or at the front desk. For more information, call the front desk at 719 637-7559.

In mid-1942 the continental territory of the U.S. was invaded by the Empire of Japan.  Beginning with air attacks on June 3rd, a small Japanese force occupied the islands of Attu and Kiska in the Aleutian Islands chain in the Territory of Alaska.
