STEM Education

NaMoWWIIA is proud to offer STEM-based education programs for students in grades K-12.  For a description of these programs, please click here.  All programs are aligned with Colorado State Standards and teach science, technology, engineering and math concepts using the history of WWII as the foundation.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Slattery Foundation, we are able to offer these programs for free to educators and classes that meet the following criteria:

  • Group or class is part of a public or private K-12 school, online/virtual school, or homeschool  (at this time we are not able to accommodate Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, or non-school sponsored groups)
  • Complete a set of three preparatory lessons with your class prior to your museum program (all curriculum and educator training provided by NaMoWWIIA Education)
  • Complete evaluations before and after your group’s visit to the museum

Education programs are conducted in partnership with See The Change USA on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday only.  Monday and Wednesday programs include a visit to Westpac Restoration.  If you do not meet the demographic criteria, are unable to complete the curriculum requirements, or are unable to come on M/W/F, please contact the Museum to schedule a traditional Public Tour.  Please note, the Slattery Foundation grant does not cover Public Tour fees.
