The Museum is open to the public on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Please note that this is a working Museum with aircraft restorations in progress, skilled volunteers working on aviation projects, and flight capable aircraft which may be started, taxied, or flown during your tour. The Museum is on Colorado Springs Airport controlled property including the aviation ramp. For these reasons all tours will be led by one of our exceptional docents. Your tour will include a visit to WestPac restorations which may have machining equipment, forklifts and other devices in operation. For your safety and to reduce the impact on our technical workforce, you must be escorted during your tour. At the end of the docent tour you will be able to revisit some of the display cases you were briefed on at the beginning of your tour. Our Docents and staff are badged and easily identified for your convenience.
Hours of operation will be 9:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
The Museum closes promptly at 4:00 p.m.
Docents will guide 1 hour 45 minute tours with start times at 10:00 a.m., Noon, 2:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your tour start time and expect to be with us for at least two hours. There is an iPad at the front desk where you can sign up for our monthly newsletter. We would appreciate your review of the facilities and tour on your favourite visitor websites including Tripadvisor.com. Visit our Facebook page where you can see updates and pictures of restoration and flight activities. Like Us on Facebook and tell your friends about the National Museum of World War II Aviation at the Colorado Springs Airport.
