Special Summer Youth Tours Start May 27

They are only on Saturdays @ 11:00 a.m..

Interactive “Airman Familiarization Tour” designed for youth ages 6-13 as a shared experience with the adult or adults that bring them.  Tour provides basic information about World War II, aviation concepts and aircraft restoration.  Tour starts promptly at 11:00 AM with recommended arrival time of 10:45 AM to allow for registration and familiarization.  The guided portion of the tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with time afterward to revisit items of interest, ask questions and get in the cockpit of an N3N biplane trainer.

The National Museum of World War II Aviation is located on an active airfield and includes tours of its workshops and aircraft restoration facilities.  For safety and convenience, all guests are escorted through the museum by docents who are experts in World War II aviation history.  At the end of each docent-led tour, visitors are permitted to re-enter the main exhibit hall and view the historical displays and artifacts at their leisure.

Use of a video or audio recording device of any kind, other than a still camera, must be approved in advance by the Museum.  Still photography is allowed throughout the Museum complex with the exception of the Westpac Restorations facility, where photography, video or audio recording is strictly regulated.
