Interactive “Airman Familiarization Tour” designed for youth ages 6-13 as a shared experience with the adult or adults that bring them. Tour provides basic information about World War II, aviation concepts and aircraft restoration. Tour starts promptly at 11:00 AM with recommended arrival time of 10:45 AM to allow for registration and familiarization. The guided portion of the tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with time afterward to revisit items of interest, ask questions and get in the cockpit of an N3N biplane trainer.
The National Museum of World War II Aviation is located on an active airfield and includes tours of its workshops and aircraft restoration facilities. For safety and convenience, all guests are escorted through the museum by docents who are experts in World War II aviation history. At the end of each docent-led tour, visitors are permitted to re-enter the main exhibit hall and view the historical displays and artifacts at their leisure.
Use of a video or audio recording device of any kind, other than a still camera, must be approved in advance by the Museum. Still photography is allowed throughout the Museum complex with the exception of the Westpac Restorations facility, where photography, video or audio recording is strictly regulated.

*WWII veterans are asked to enter their name and a brief bio in the museum guest book located at the front desk.
Visitors who pre-register and pay on-line receive a discount on admissions. (see above). On-line reservations may be made as early as 365 days in advance, but no later than one hour prior to the scheduled tour. If you pre-register on the day of the tour, please bring a printed copy of your receipt with you to the Museum.
Arrival at the Museum:
The entrance to the Museum is located at 755 Aviation Way.
Free parking is available near the front door to the museum. All individuals and groups must check in at the Museum front desk upon arrival. Access to the adjacent aircraft restoration facility (Westpac Restorations) is only available through the Museum’s docent-led tour program.
