Opened to the public in 2012, the National Museum of World War II Aviation documents the role that military aviation played in the emergence of our nation as a world power. The museum tells the story of the tremendous technological advancements in aviation during the War and the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who won the air war.

At The Museum

Aircraft

The aircraft collection at the National Museum of World War II Aviation features 28 fully restored flying aircraft, and several on-going restoration projects.

Exhibits

The National Museum of World War II Aviation houses an extensive collection that includes more than 4,000 artifacts and historical documents from one of the most crucial periods in America’s history.

Vehicles

In addition to its aircraft collection, the National Museum of World War II Aviation has several fully restored and operational vehicles that were used by US forces and their allies during the war.
